So, i’m going to the wonderful city of Amsterdam in a week and deciding what to pack is a nightmare. Normally I go on beach holidays where the sun is usually guaranteed to make an appearance, but if Amsterdam is anything like Welsh weather, then it is completely unpredictable from one minute to the next. But anyway, I’m packing my brightest clothes and hoping for the best, but i’ll take some trusty tights and ankle boots too just incase.
I did read somewhere that the people of Amsterdam wear neutral colours and black. I hope this isn’t true otherwise I will stick out like a sore thumb! But because of the World cup on during my visit, it’s going to be like a sea of orange, hopefully.
Also, if anyone has any tips on where to go during my visit, such as little vintage cafes, or fashion stores then please let me know :)
Ripped black skinnies and dreamy birks. need.
Never thought i’d see the day that these came back into fashion, and even more so did I think i’d actually be contemplating getting a pair! After trying a few pairs on, I can hold my hands up and say that these are the comfiest shoes ever!
In TKmaxx they have a load of the real Birkenstocks in soooo many different colours for just £24.99, cheapest place i’ve seen the real ones! But Dorothy Perkins currently have a sale on theirs and some are as little as £10, probably will end up purchasing the floral pair in this image. Next also do a great range, as well as Topshop and River Island if you’re up for spending a little bit more for a more fashionable look as they have jewels on and all kinds of prints, but I think i’ll stick to the simple ones :)
As it was the CFDA’s last night, I decided to re-create some of my favourite looks of the night. Sophia Bush looks incredible in this fitted cut out dress teamed with a statement necklace. The dress I have found similar is from ASOS, now I recently purchased this, but it came back and was way too big, but it’s a lovely dress and comes in black too for £45. The statement necklace is from New Look at just £14.99.
I’m currently obsessed with midi skater skirts, so this is definitely my favourite look of the night by Beth Behrs. Green looks amazing with her blonde locks and skin tone, I found this green lace skirt on an online website called ‘aliexpress’, all of the clothes come from China so can take a while to be shipped but it’s definitely worth it because all the clothes are so cheap, and this skirt is only £13! The top is from River Island and the clutch is from Accessorize for £32 which I am in love with.
On the subject of the CDFA’s, I think i’m the only person who really wasn’t a fan of Rihannas dress, but each to their own, if I had a body like that then i’d probably do the same!
Deleted all my old posts and decided to start afresh with my tumblr and primarily focus on fashion and style insiders ect. Currently got a new job at River Island, so a lot of clothes that i’m going to post will be from there, although it’s funny because I never shopped there that much before.
So, last night was my boyfriends 21st birthday, so we went out for one of the best meals I have ever had, which was a Brazilian buffet along with 15 different cuts of meat which they come around with on skewers, so I probably shouldn’t have worn these trousers (which were a size 6 may I add, whereas 2 years ago I was a 14). Also it was a bad choice wearing white, but I managed to leave with no marks, success!
Anyway, all of my clothes are from River Island except the shoes, which I stole off my sister, they’re Kurt Geiger but from a while back so couldn’t find an image, so found ones similar from River Island. I teamed my outfit with a simple black leather jacket as it was quite chilly here in Wales, as per usual!
